Holiday Homework 11FR2 – due Tuesday 6 November

Preparation of oral topics.  Answer questions in writing  about “A la maison” and “Education”.  Make sure you answer with lots of detail.  Justify your answers (parce que…).  Show off!  Remember that this part of the oral lasts for three minutes so you should prepare plenty to say.

Optional extra – visit the links under resources and listen to some of the GSCE sample podcasts to help you.

Check out this recording by a student at Coulsdon High.  It’s got lots of details in it and she uses different tenses.  Listen to it and decide how you could answer the questions as well, or even better.

Competition: Critique de la chanson française – 11FR2

Every Friday afternoon for the last 15 minutes of the session I will be introducing French culture to you through song.  2 weeks ago we heard Pink Martini with “Sympathique”.  Last week we heard Manu Chau sing “Je ne t’aime plus (mon amour)”.  This Friday, 28 Sept, we are going to listen to a classic French song by one of the most famous French singers.

Who is the singer?  Do you like the song?   Write an article in French of at least five sentences to say – what was the song?; who was the singer?; Type of song (modern, old, romantic);  Did you like it and why/why not?

Best entry will win:

Publication on this blog! + Small prize next Friday; + postcard home to parents
